Overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Febriq BV (“we”, “us”, “our”), Jacob van Lennepstraat 78 H, 1053 HM Amsterdam, the Netherlands, about Radial and heyradial.com.

By downloading, installing or using Radial, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

Radial is sold through Polar, the merchant of record, which takes the payment and handles VAT. Polar’s own terms apply to the purchase itself. For everything about Radial, these Terms apply, and we’re the ones to talk to.

1. Radial

Radial is a Mac app that opens a dial in a bottom corner of your screen. You press, slide onto a wedge and lift to open an app, run a shortcut, change a setting or do something else you set up.

Radial runs on your Mac and doesn’t need an account. It’s distributed as a direct download from heyradial.com, signed and notarized by Apple, and not through the Mac App Store.

2. Trial and Purchase

2.1 The download is also the trial. For 3 days from the first launch, Radial works fully without a license key. After that the dial stays closed until you enter a key. Settings still works, and your dials are kept.

2.2 A license is a one-time purchase. The price is shown on the site and at checkout, including VAT where it applies.

2.3 For a refund or a question about your order, write to us or use Polar’s customer portal, linked from your purchase email. When an order is refunded, its key is revoked and Radial locks at its next check.

2.4 Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under consumer law where you live.

3. Your License

3.1 We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Radial on up to 3 Macs that you own or control. The license doesn’t expire.

3.2 It includes the updates we release for Radial, unless an update comes with separate terms.

3.3 You may not sell, rent, share or publish your license key, or use it on more Macs than it allows.

3.4 You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify Radial, or work around its license checks, except where the law expressly allows it.

3.5 You may not remove copyright, trademark or other notices from Radial.

4. Activation and Checks

4.1 Activating a key ties it to that Mac. Radial checks the key when it starts and once a day. Offline, it keeps working for 30 days from the last check that got through, then waits for the next one.

4.2 To move your license to another Mac, use Remove from This Mac in Radial, or remove a Mac in Polar’s customer portal.

4.3 Activation and checks go through Polar. Our Privacy Policy says what they send.

5. Requirements

5.1 Radial needs macOS 26 or later. It’s made for Macs with a touchscreen, and on any other Mac it opens with a held key instead.

5.2 Some features need permissions you grant in macOS, like Accessibility. Some, like brightness and the keyboard light, use parts of macOS that Apple doesn’t publish, so a macOS update can stop them working until Radial is updated.

5.3 You’re responsible for your Mac and its setup. We may change Radial’s requirements to keep it secure and working.

6. What You Run

6.1 Radial does what you set it up to do. Wedges can press keyboard shortcuts, paste text, open links, run Shortcuts and run shell commands, in your name and with your Mac’s permissions.

6.2 You’re responsible for the commands, shortcuts and other actions you add, including ones an AI app adds for you. Radial asks before saving a command an AI app wrote, so read it before you allow it.

7. Sharing and Presets

7.1 You can share a dial as a link. A dial you share is yours: don’t share anything you don’t have the right to. Commands, keyboard shortcuts, links and saved text don’t travel with a shared dial.

7.2 When you submit a dial to the presets page, you allow us to show it, with your name if you gave one, on heyradial.com. We decide what goes on the page and may take a dial down at any time.

7.3 A dial someone else shared comes as it is. Look at what it does before you use it.

8. Answers on the FAQ

Questions asked on the FAQ page are answered by an AI model. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong, and they don’t change these Terms. If something matters, ask us.

9. Other Apps and Services

9.1 Radial works with other apps and services, like Spotify, Notion, Raycast, Claude, Zoom and code editors. We aren’t affiliated with them, and their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

9.2 Using them is subject to their own terms. When they change how they work, a feature in Radial that depends on them can stop working, and we can’t promise it will come back.

10. Updates and Support

10.1 Radial checks for updates and installs them for you. We decide what goes into each one.

10.2 For help, write to hi@heyradial.com. We’ll do our best to help, but we don’t promise a response time.

11. Feedback

If you send us ideas, bug reports or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Radial, free of charge and without owing you anything for it.

12. Warranty

Radial is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Any warranty that consumer law gives you stays in place.

13. Liability

13.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damage, including lost data, lost work or lost profit, or for damage caused by commands, shortcuts or other actions you set up in Radial.

13.2 Where we are liable, our liability is limited to what you paid for your license.

13.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

14. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use Radial. You can stop at any time by deleting it. If you seriously break these Terms, for example by sharing or reselling your key, we may revoke your license.

15. Intellectual Property

Radial, its name, design, software and this site belong to Febriq BV or its licensors. A license lets you use Radial; it doesn’t give you ownership of any of it.

16. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the law where you live and can also go to a court there.

17. Miscellaneous

17.1 If any part of these Terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies.

17.2 If we don’t enforce a part of these Terms, we haven’t given up the right to.

17.3 We may update these Terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If you keep using Radial after a change, the new Terms apply.

18. Contact

For questions, complaints or legal notices, write to hi@heyradial.com, or to Febriq BV, Jacob van Lennepstraat 78 H, 1053 HM Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
